Parvathi Nayar
Parvathi Nayar is an artist with a drawing and painting practice. Conceptually her work is rooted in exploring relationships with the world, in ways that privilege sight and encourage viewers to see the world they thought they knew, in new ways. Parvathi works with the idea that we experience the world as fragmented images. She often exhibits her drawings and paintings as installations, where specific arrangements of the work create a narrative and sense of journey that allow viewers to physically experience the work.

Parvathi received her Masters in Fine Art from Central St Martins College of Art and Design, on a Chevening scholarship from the British government. Her works have been collected by institutions such as the Singapore Art Museum, The Sotheby's Art Institute and Deutsche Bank. In 2008, her painting Firelight was selected to be featured on ABN Amro's Dil Se platinum card.

Her solo exhibitions include 'i sing the body electric', at Bombay Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2008;'The Art of Giving' Arts House Gallery, Singapore in 2008; 'Win Lose Draw' commissioned by ART Singapore, Singapore in 2007; 'Innerscapes' Song of India, Singapore in 2006.
